As a registered nurse for more than two decades, Desiree Walker honed skills that prove valuable as a real estate professional. “In nursing, you learn the art of selflessness,” she says. “In my professional opinion, it’s crucial to be the type of person who makes my clients feel like I will always make their properties and their wishes my first priority.” That is one of the staples of Desiree’s service.
It also helps to network. Desiree’s husband works as an Executive Manager and music producer. He has introduced her to several very prominent celebrities. When one became her client, Desiree’s success brought a wave of referrals — and in her first full year as a real estate professional, she racked up $13.5 million in sales. She says, “I had so much fun, and it was so next-level that I said to myself, ‘This is my dream job!’”
Born in New York City’s Jamaica, Queens, Desiree moved to the beautiful city of Newport Beach in Southern California in 2001. After her oldest daughter graduated from Corona del Mar High School, Desiree and her family found their forever home behind the amazing gates of Coto de Caza. In her spare time, she and her husband volunteer in their church, and they donate to several charities. Formerly a ballet dancer and still a singer, Desiree loves ballet, theater, and opera along with music of all genres and cultures. Married for more than 15 years now, she and her husband enjoy traveling, experiencing foods of many cultures, sipping delicious wine, and being with their four wonderful kids.
